In order to keep spammers and fake listings off of our website we charge our homeowners $100 to list with us which is then refunded after their first booking. How do I sign up?
To sign up as a renter on GamedayHousing.com, simply click the “Sign Up” button on the top right of the home page and fill out the registration form. You will receive an email from us immediately after submitting that will prompt you to click a confirmation link. After you click this, you are ready to book!
How do I view my account settings and view upcoming rentals?
After logging in, click the “My Account” button on the top right of the homepage. This is the area of the site you will go to if you’d like to change your account settings, add a credit card, or view any upcoming rentals.
How do I search for a home?
You can search on the front page by market or type in keywords for a quick search. If you are having trouble locating a home for a specific event, please feel free to contact us at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com or call us at 1-888-7-GAMEDAY and we’ll be sure to help you out.
Who owns the homes that are available for rent?
Owners of each house for rent do vary. Some are investors who have purchased the property to rent solely on gameday weekends. Others live in the house full time, but vacate the property for gameday weekends. Each house clearly lists what type of owner is listing their home so you can make an informed decision on whether or not to rent.
Why are some rentals priced differently from others?
GamedayHousing.com does not set rental prices. We have an open market and a free exchange. Rental prices are chosen by listers and are subject to their full discretion. Prices are generally based on location, proximity to the stadium, amenities offered, size of the home and how many persons the home can sleep, to name a few.
How can I contact the owner to find more information about the rental that is not included on the website?
You can send a private message directly to the lister through the private messaging system directly on their listing in the “Contact Owner” tab. If that does not work, feel free to contact our customer service department at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com for further assistance.
How do I make a booking?
Making a booking on GamedayHousing.com is extremely easy. Begin by finding a place on the homepage. To do this, choose your team and the event you would like a home for. Once you have selected the event, click the search button to view results of available homes for that weekend. To view a specific home, click the property address and the listing page will open. If you like what you see and you are ready to book, simply click “Book Now.” Then follow two quick steps: billing details and billing confirmation.
I received an error while booking a reservation, what should I do?
Please email our customer service department at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com for further assistance. Please reference the house number, event weekend, and the error message that you received so we can better assist you.
Can I offer a price less than listed on the website? Can I ask for additional or fewer days?
Yes, you are welcome to offer the owner alternative terms other than those listed on the website by sending them a private message with your request. Your request will be sent directly to the lister who will generally have 72 hours to review. If the lister does not accept your terms within 72 hours, the offer will expire and you will have to re-submit your request.
What are the fees to rent a home?
The rental fee for each house is listed on the website. In addition, we require a security deposit authorization for each rental approximately two weeks prior to the event. There are no other fees to rent a home.
What type of deposit and payment due dates can I expect?
Booking fees are charged up front in full. As for the security deposit, similar to hotels, we place an authorization for the amount on your credit card that will be taken if there is damage, however the security deposit amount is not charged when you book. This authorization is placed two weeks prior to the weekend.
How do I pay? What credit cards can I use?
We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex and Paypal payments. You will be prompted to enter your payment information before confirming your rental reservation. If you have any trouble, please contact us at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com.
Can I cancel my order?
In the event that you have to cancel we will make our best effort to relist the home and rebook the property. You will be refunded the balance of what you paid less any difference in the new booking price if we are successful in rebooking the home. We do not guarantee that we will be able to issue a partial or full refund.
Where can I find details on check-in/check-out times?
The check-in and check-out dates should be visible directly in each listing. Check-in and check-out times are generally listed in the owner’s property description, but if not you may contact the owner via the private message function. Check-in and check-out details are always given prior to the booked weekend.
How do I check-in/check-out of a rental?
Check-in and check-out procedures may vary slightly from rental to rental. As for check-in, two weeks prior to the event you will receive an email asking for your security deposit authorization. Once you have provided the security deposit, you will receive a message from the lister with the keybox code along with any other relevant check-in information. On each home there is a keybox which you will use to enter the home at check-in time. Once inside, each owner will have a welcome kit with detailed check out procedures. Common procedures will include stripping the beds that have been slept in, placing all dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom, starting the dishwasher, and taking trash out to the curb. What do I need to know about the property's location?
Our website automatically locates the property and displays its proximity to the stadium using Google Maps which is embedded in our site. If you’d like more information, feel free to ask the owner as many questions as necessary to feel comfortable about the property’s location before booking the rental. For example, if the listing says “within walking distance to the stadium”, ask the owner whether it’s a mile away or across the street. You can also use Google maps to preview the home prior to booking to make sure it is the same one as that listed on the website. If you see any issues or have any concerns with the property, please let us know at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com so we can help resolve the issues.
Can I bring pets?
Whether or not pets are allowed is at the discretion of the owner. Their listing details will display whether or not pets are allowed under “Suitability.” If you have uncertainty feel free to contact the owner via our private message function in the “Contact Owner” tab or contact our customer service at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com.
Does my home come with towels, linens, utensils etc?
You can view all of the available amenities in the property listing and you should confirm by contacting the owner directly if you have any specific concerns.
What if I encounter a problem during my stay?
It is in everyone’s best interest to try to solve any problems immediately. Contact information for the owner or their local representative should be included in pre-arrival instructions and posted in the rental. The person you have been directed to contact will be your best resource to quickly resolve any issues. I just finished up a rental and the house was not as advertised. What should I do?
First, you should fill out a review to let future renters know what is different about the house and how it is advertised on the website. Second, if you feel the problems were so significant that you’d like some or all of your money back, please initiate a security deposit mediation following your stay. We take dispute mediation seriously and will work with you and the owner to resolve all issues amicably. If you are not sure if you should initiate a dispute resolution, please contact us directly at customerservice@gamedayhousing.com and we will help advise you.
If an event is cancelled, will I get a refund?
Yes, you will receive a refund.
The event I reserved housing for was rescheduled and I can't go. What should I do?
If an event is rescheduled and not cancelled, we generally do not offer refunds or cancellations. If you notify us that you’d like to cancel at least one month before the rescheduled event, we will use our commercially reasonable best efforts to secure another renter for that weekend event. If we are successful in finding a replacement, you will receive a refund equal to the difference between what you paid and what we were able to obtain as a replacement (but in any event, a sum not to exceed what you have already paid) less a convenience fee.

Although nobody can 100% guarantee this won’t happen, we can assure you that the risk is very low. Almost all of our renters are respectful alumni who just want a nice place to stay and enjoy the game. After managing literally hundreds of bookings we have never had a major complaint of damage. Many of our property owners even comment on how the renters leave their homes cleaner than when they arrived!

What are your fees?
AGamedayHousing.com charges a 20% commission on rentals. We chose a commission structure so our incentives are aligned exactly with yours. After 30 days we will charge a deposit on your credit card of $100. This charge will be returned to you with your first booking.
How do I get started listing my home?
Once you have completed registration you can log into the site and begin the listing process. On the homepage, click the “Property Owners List Your Home” button on the top of the page. Once you have been redirected to the next page, click the “Get started” button on the right-hand side of the page. You will then begin the simple 6 step process of listing your home—15 minutes is all it takes! Do I set my own prices for my home?
Absolutely. GamedayHousing.com can provide you with expert advice on how to price your home for maximum income, but the decision on what price to charge is completely up to you.
Can I advertise my home on other websites?
Yes. Although GamedayHousing.com should be the only marketing platform you need, you are still free to create your own ads. However, we do require that you book all available weekends through our website. We only make money on bookings and we will spend a great deal of time and money marketing your home. The majority of the commissions we receive are reinvested in advertising and building a brand name so you can book renters year after year. Please note you may post advertisements on craigslist, but may not use another booking website that charges you a fee on each transaction it arranges.
Do I need special insurance?
GamedayHousing.com will collect a security deposit from the renters to protect you from any damages. This deposit usually equals ½ of the rent, but you can adjust the amount if you desire. You should check with your homeowners insurance to see if you are covered for damage from renters in excess of the security deposit amount.
Can you guarantee me bookings?
No. We can however guarantee we will work tirelessly to get you bookings. Some of our renters earn upwards of $15,000 in a season! The earlier before the season you list your home, the better.
How do I know when my home gets booked?
You will receive an automatic email notifying you of the booking. This email should include all of the information about the check-in and check-out dates/times and how much the rent is for the weekend.
When do I get paid?
As soon as you let us know the rental went OK by clicking the link in our check-out email we will send you a check for your rents. If you would like us to direct deposit the funds directly into your bank account we can do that as well. Am I in charge of cleaning the home?
Yes. You should make arrangements to have your home cleaned before each weekend. We recommend you factor this cost into your booking fee.
Am I required to supply certain amenities for my renters?
You are not required to supply certain amenities. However, it is to your benefit to offer as much as you can to your renters in an effort to give them the best possible experience. This will get you good reviews and most importantly, repeat business! A few amenities we know our renters enjoy include air conditioning, gas grills, towels, coffee makers and a furnished kitchen.
How long will my home be listed on the site?
Your home will be up on the site for one year (annual subscription).
How will my home be advertised?
We aggressively advertise for our listers through a variety of mediums. Will the government tax the income I earn from renting out my home on GamedayHousing.com?
No. In the Federal Tax Code there is a clause that states homeowners are not required to pay income taxes on income generated from home rentals as long as the time period of the rental is 14 days or less.
